CPA called “Mercedes” to discuss the loosening of sealing paste at the combustion chamber, which leads to the chamber catching fire. “Mercedes” has declared that such a case was for a number of 1859 E-Class categories in Egypt. In addition, “Mercedes” highlighted that CPA call is considered a contingency procedure and not related to any engine defect. The distributors’ network was notified on 16 March 2015 of the necessity to inform the owners of these cars with such contingency procedure and letters were sent to the customers clarifying the required adjustment process.
